B\u00fcrgenstock Hotels & Resort with legendary history<\/h3>\n

The idea of a hotel on the B\u00fcrgenberg, on Lake Lucerne, was born in the second half of the 19th century, in the wake of the increasingly popular alpinism and the beginnings of spa tourism in Switzerland. In 1873, Franz Josef Bucher and Josef Durrer opened the Hotel B\u00fcrgenstock before it became the property of Friedrich Frey-F\u00fcrst in the 1920s. Thanks to modernisation and expansion, the hotel on Lake Lucerne developed into a world-renowned venue with prominent guests such as Audrey Hepburn, Konrad Adenauer, Jimmy Carter and Indira Ghandi. Following the extensive renovation, which took nine years and ended in 2017, the B\u00fcrgenstock is now experiencing a brilliant revival.<\/p>\n
